How to retrieve Aadhaar card offline
Step 1: Visit any Aadhaar center.
Step 2: Enroll your fingerprint on the biometric device to retrieve your Aadhaar card.
Checklist or the basic requirements to retrieve the lost Aadaar card online:
- Aadhaar No UID or Enrolment EID
- Registered mobile number and e-mail ID
- Accurate personal details like name, address, etc.
Here are the simple steps to retrieve or get a duplicate Aadhaar card.
Step 1: Visit https://resident.uidai.gov.in/
Step 2: Go to ‘Retrieve Lost UID/EID’ and select Aadhaar No UID or Enrolment EID
Step 3: Enter personal details like name, address, number, etc.
Step 4: A security code would be displayed, enter it as displayed and click on the OTP button.
Step 5: You would then receive ‘one-time password’ on your mobile or registered e-mail ID.
Step 6: Click to type and verify OTP.
Step 7: You will now receive a message on your mobile with details of your Aadhaar card number and enrolment ID.
Step 8: Visit https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ and go to ‘I have’ option to select ‘enrolment ID or Aadhaar’.
Step 9: Now enter required details like Aadhaar number, full name, enrolment ID, pin code, mobile number, security text, etc. and click to get OTP.
Step 10: You will again receive OTP to your mobile number or registered e-mail ID.
Step 11: Enter the OTP in the ‘enter OTP’ box to ‘validate and download’.
Before you download, remember that the PDF you receive is password protected. The pin code of your home address is the password to open the Aadhaar.
